The 2015 Edinburgh Mini Maker Faire will take place on Sunday 19 April and we’re looking for people who love to make things to take part in this amazing annual celebration of creativity in all its forms.
We’d like to see puppets, 3D printing, taxidermy, circuit bending, inventions, science experiments, virtual Minecraft worlds, gadgets, hardware, software, knitwear and food. Whatever you make we’re interested and this is the perfect opportunity to share your work with a huge variety of people, generate new ideas and make new connections.
Simply click on the ‘Makers Apply Here’ button above to register your interest in taking part.
Planning for the 2014 Edinburgh Mini Maker Faire is already well underway and a flurry of activity happened earlier this week.
The Mini Maker Faire core team met up for the first time on Wednesday evening to reflect on this year’s event and start thinking about the proceedings for 2014. The group, a mixture of some of those who were involved last year as well as a couple of new faces, are involved in the process of planning the event including helping to select the makers who will take part. It was great to meet up with everyone to start chatting about ideas and get excited about what we could do to make the 2014 event even better than this year.
Earlier today saw the launch of the call out to those across the maker community – enthusiasts, geeks, tinkerers, engineers and artists. If you build, create or innovate, this could be your chance to showcase your work and meet others who also love to make – we can’t wait to hear from you!
The call runs until 18 December and we’ll be distributing info far and wide during this time. If you’re interested in getting involved, complete the maker application form here.
