One of the makers appearing at this year’s Edinburgh Mini Maker Faire, Formula 24 introduces young people to key aspects within engineering, mechanics, design/technology, science and greenpower through the building of a single seater battery powered racing car.
The project works with young people in both F24 (11–16 years old) and F24+ (16-25 years old) categories. Participants gain confidence and skills as they have the opportunity to develop new skills that many young people may not ordinarily have the chance to try their hand at.
The programme provides participants with an innovate and unique insight into engineering, mechanics, science and green power in a fun and interactive way and offers progression routes for those who want to develop their skills further.
